The St. Joe’s men’s basketball non-conference schedule was just released today, with a few interesting dates on the calendar.
The season kicks off at the new Hagan Arena with a Nov. 13 date with Drexel, breaking the two-year mini-tradition of the two teams playing on New Year’s Eve. (St. Joe’s is probably looking to break any tradition with last year’s lackadaisical performance). Following that is a Nov. 17 battle with the always tough Holy Cross Crusaders, who the Hawks have lost to each of the last two years.
The Hawks then get a chance to soak up some sun in the Virgin Islands from Nov. 20-23 against some tough competition at the Paradise Jam, starting with Boston College in the opener.
The Hawks will also host Lehigh, Princeton, and Towson this year, while hitting the road against Rider, Cornell, Minnesota, Siena, and Penn. The Holy War will be played on December 9 at the Palestra.
Atlantic 10 play starts with a Trip to Temple on Jan. 6.
